How many times have you heard someone talking about “Being in the Pit”? Maybe someone you know? Maybe it was you? When people go into the pit, usually their instinct is that you need to get out! At all cost, do whatever you must to climb back out of the pit!
For those of you that have endured this experience in life, you realize that it is a very humbling experience… to some this is a necessary evil that we must experience in life in order to appreciate the fruit of success.

The Pit

What happens to you though if you fall back into the pit? In this economy it is something that many people have to deal with. Many business ventures are started with great ideas that have so much potential, but then the dream begins to fade. Reality sets in that you are against fierce competition. Many people find themselves right back where they started. Sitting in the bottom of the pit, looking at the skulls of the unfortunate souls that fought and struggled to climb back out, but did not survive emotionally or mentally, they might feel at times they would lose their minds. They might consider suicide or finding ways to hide their pain with substance abuse or alcohol.

Is it possible that we can find perfection in our failures? Much like a snake would do when leaving it’s skin, it is in our ability to shed the beliefs that others have laid upon us throughout our lives that will enable us to look at ourselves in a new light. A bright and shiny exterior and interior that will be vibrant and bold, able to endure anything that comes our way.

To achieve this we need to create awareness in our lives. When you face fear and disillusionment about your life events, try to think very hard where these emotions are coming from. Who are you trying to be? Who are you trying to impress? Why is that important to you? Feel free to share your story and comment below.
