Many of us are going to be looking for answers when this Lame Duck session of Congress reconvenes next week. We are even more divided than we were back in the early part of 2009 after Obama’s inauguration. That is typical for what we have seen over the last few decades. The pendulum swings very wide and very low. Except this pendulum is very low and very sharp. Do not get too close to it as you might get a taste of the blade. We all need to really stay informed and aware about whom we can trust in the political arena.
It is really up to us. It is not the time for us to fall back on our laurels. Our country is not providing the leadership that it once did. How did the children of France, or Great Britain, or Spain all get used to the “Change” that came to be? It is time to plan differently and to get the ball rolling in the right direction.
Find a safe place to grow your own vegetable garden and raise your own livestock. It is really the time to start reading about and figuring out how to be more resilient. Most landlords will allow it if you do a nice job. You should have a minimum food supply on hand to last six months. Learn how to can food. After the first year, you will have a better idea of what you need and how it all works.
